Celebration Lunch
14 July 2016 | Yarmouth ME
Elizabeth
Our friends on s/v Tivoli suggested we celebrate our homecoming at the Royal River Grill House (located on the other end of the Yankee Marina parking lot) and said that in fact the lobster stew with cream sherry sauce was worth trying. How Torben and Judy know about such things is a mystery to us. Nonetheless, I had already made reservations for a celebratory lunch to mark the end and the beginning of our journey just prior to seeing their comment. We went there after packing up the car and prior to driving to Bethel to begin the slow move into her home. Mom and I ordered Bloody Mary's, Ed had his favorite IPA beer and we all enjoyed an excellent meal. I ordered the lobster stew with cream sherry sauce since that's what J & T said to do. It was delicious.
Thanks to all those who have sent emails and texts or left comments on the blog congratulating us on our finale. It means a great deal to us. We've been very busy since we arrived at the marina. I'll continue to write on the blog until after Skylark gets hauled next week. Beyond that, I haven't really decided what to do with the blog. It makes me too sad to think about at the moment. More later!
