Happy Birthday David!
Three years ago when we first anchored in Solomons Island, MD, there was a wonderful farmers market we discovered on a Thursday afternoon from 4-6. It wasn't big, but the fruit and vegetables were abundant and fresh. We felt like we hit the jackpot. Imagine our delight when we happened across the same farmers market and realized it was Thursday at 4:30! We were out of almost all fresh vegetables other than lettuce so we went hog wild on ripe tomatoes, freshly picked broccoli, zucchini squash, cucumbers and kale. Oh and a butternut squash. And bell peppers. It was divine.
The other memorable event in Solomons three years ago was my first solo dinghy adventure. Solo as in me and Luna taking the dinghy for a spin without any other humans on board. It was a thrilling event, although Luna failed to understand its significance. I forgave her for that, sort of.
We spent one night here before leaving for Mill Creek, VA. Lots of motor sailing but with Big Red, we aren't complaining.
