Taking Care of Big Red
19 November 2014 | Ft. Lauderdale Downtown Cooley Docks
Elizabeth
We had a service mechanic come onboard yesterday to check the alignment on the prop shaft and engine. He and Ed worked together for a couple of hours. The engine was out of alignment (which Ed suspected was the case) most likely due to everything settling in and Big Red getting comfortable in its new home. The alignment was good when we left Yankee Marine in Maine but as with all new installations, it can take up to 50-100 hours of use for the engine to settle into its permanent operating position. We're pleased to have a highly recommended mechanic come on board while staying at the least expensive marina in the Ft. Lauderdale area. We can't complain!
