Feeding Frenzy...

Well, maybe it wasn't really a frenzy in the true sense of the word. In fact, it was more of a nibble, nibble, pet me now, thanks for the treat kind of a moment. We went to Volleyball beach to eat conch salads, after which Ronaldo gave us some scraps for the resident stingrays. We regret we didn't know about feeding the rays when our daughter and son-in-law were visiting because that would have been high on Amanda's list of things-to-not-miss. We are pretty slack tourist guides, I'm afraid to say. I fed the one ray after Erin did and then a really big guy swam along to catch some of the action. I opted not to pet him and had no more food to offer. We hear there's been a hammerhead shark feeding from time to time on the rays here on Volleybeach and there was a lot of chatter on the local cruiser's net about him. We didn't see any evidence of him on this day. I can't help but wonder if Ed lifted Luna on the beach directly into the dinghy here to protect her from a quick shark attack. I don't think so, but he probably wouldn't admit it even if it was part of his reasoning.
