More Business

I forgot to mention earlier that in addition to all those other items of business we're taking care of while here, we'll pick up mail being shipped from our mail forwarding service in FL and there are some items we need from the NAPA store or whatever is in its place (motor oil being one). We had to mail a few things back home from the local PO and Monday after dropping off our dodger for repairs we'll motor over to Crown Bay to fuel up.
Today we took the local taxi/bus from Yacht Haven to the Home Depot and Cost-U-Less (like Costco or PriceSmart), then picked up another one to the big Kmart and automotive stores further down the road. Each taxi ride is between $1-2.00/person so it's very affordable getting on and off. The locals rely on it to get around and as in other Caribbean Islands, when a person gets on they say "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" to everyone onboard and everyone mutters something back. I love that. We were the only caucasians coming and going and it was packed. I love that, too. Since Cost-U-Less was an unexpected stop, we'll return there tomorrow with our cart and bags. We cased the joint today and found the prices to be very reasonable with much of what we need.
The photo is Ed and Luna waiting for me outside the PO in downtown St. Thomas.
