There is everything we could ever hope for here in Lameshur Bay (other than an ice machine on the dock...) and it's hard to think about leaving later today for St. Maarten. In addition to the magnificent turtles, resident barracudas and very large Remora, this bay offers decent snorkeling, a variety of hikes, ancient ruins, a fine museum at the VI Environmental Research center (with a book exchange that is pretty massive), a low easily accessible dinghy dock, beaches, wildlife and stunning warm water for floating around in. What's not to love?
