Hi Everyone, Luna here. We had company for dinner the other night, 5 humans to be exact and lucky for me they are all my friends. I was so excited to see everyone I made a fool of myself falling over them all, getting head rubs and wagging my non-tail. I realize Elizabeth and Ed made a nice meal and served a variety of drinks but it's common knowledge the guests came to see me first and foremost. I got a bath earlier in the day so no one would call me a "stinkin' dog" which is what Ed calls me more often than he should or is called for. Elizabeth pretends she doesn't approve of him calling me that but I see her winking at him behind my back. They are a pair, those two.
So back to our dinner guests, Maurice obviously wanted a kiss from me. It was written all over his face. But I told him that in America, sometimes we just shake paws and forgo the kissing business. He suggested we shake paws first, kiss second. I personally thought that was a grand idea. Maurice is a pretty good paw-shaker, as you can see from this photo. A little tentative, perhaps, but his eye contact was stellar.
