After paying $40 for a round trip taxi ride to the airport yesterday (ridiculous), we asked the driver to find a place to drop us where dogs were allowed--we were starving. We needn't have worried. Dogs are allowed everywhere and appear to be celebrities. One waitress brought over a large bag of "organic" dog cookies and proceeded to feed about 10 of them to Luna, without asking us first if it would be OK. Luna happens to be allergic to "organic" dog cookies if they contain chicken. Based on her behavior on our walk back to the dingy dock from the restaurant, the "organic" cookies contained "non-organic" chicken. We should have stopped the waitress but she seemed so pleased with herself and we felt sorry for Luna. And us? What did we eat? Raw oysters on the half shell and chicken wings (Captain's favorites). We aren't allergic to either one.
