Another Dog Park/Puddle/Dogs Having Fun Photo

19 May 2016 | Florida, Vero Beach
Elizabeth
These buddies were having a good workout after cavorting in the mud puddle. See the big black dog in the background lying in the water? Dogs came and went in the puddle, tossed water off their noses, rolled, jumped, splashed, ran in, ran out. This dog stayed put but we guessed he/she was having just as much fun as those knuckleheads splashing water in his/her face. And if you look in the background you'll see a mast. That's where Skylark is moored, just beyond the mangrove trees. I don't think that's our mast, however. We asked for the mooring ball further away from the mangroves to minimize mosquito visits. They still visit, but not too many. We put up a sign that says "Warning: Danger to Mosquitos Ahead" but we think maybe they can't read.

The rental car company cancelled our reservation at 7:30 this morning due to having no cars on their lot. Apparently the flooding from the other day has continued to wreak havoc on supplies. There was no school yesterday after the high school sustained flood damage and when we called the local Verizon store with a question, only one employee was on duty due to the other two being waylaid somewhere. We had to cancel our vet appointment but Luna seems OK to wait until tomorrow. We'll avoid the dog park and all those temptations when we walk her this morning.
