Survey, Planing and Provisioning

13 May 2012 | Renton Wa
Mike
Great news with the survey, the boat came through with no major issues. A cracked pilothouse window that we were already aware of, and some minor corrosion on the engine motor mounts that needs some attention. We are still waiting for the electronics display to be return from the manufacturer. It was sent in for service by the previous owner, estimated return time another week. In the meantime we prep provision and plan. Eighteen Waypoints typed into the Mac , GPSNav X program, now has us electronically mapped to Nanimo BC , it’s a good start, long way to go.
Provisioning; There is a local food store that sells many dehydrated product in bulk so we have vacuum packed a months worth plus, of dehydrated fruit, nuts, cereal, Oats, potato; slices and shreds, rice, bean soup, vegetable soup and even dehydrated refried beans. It is an interesting brown coarse powder that when rehydrated with boiling water would make any half Mexican like myself smile.
