For the past 5 days or so we have been out of beer. One of our rituals is to have a beer with lunch after doing our project for the day. The past week has been very hot making the noon beer important. What we have been doing is kayaking in to Banadup ( beer island) and buying a cold beer for two dollars each. On one of these trips we met the boat Irie with Mark and Lizbeth. Yesterday we invited them to our boat for a sundowner (cocktail) and snack. We said we would provide Pina Colata's and they asked if they could bring a something. Later that day they came to our boat with a plate of crackers and hummus. But what made them so thoughtful were the two beers they brought. Today we won't have to row to the beach to kick back a cold one. Lizbeth is a writer and is published in several sailing magazines. She has inspired me to continue submitting articles. If one day you find yourself reading a wild cruising story with my name attached remember its all true as the truth is better than fiction.
