Master Mola Maker Lisa had a going away party for us. Her nephew, Yodi (6 yrs. old) who I gave a stuffed gecko to, he totally loved, joined us. Along with her driver Elnardo, who Denny has become good friends with and a couple of aunt's and uncle's of Lisa. I made chili, bread and brownies. Along with the rum and wine, we had a good celebration. In the photo above I'm wearing a vest Lisa made for me. We have good memories here and are going to miss them, other friends we have made along the way and the beautiful islands.
The first time we left San Blas we made it all the way to Maine and we were going to cross the Atlantic to get to Ireland. But didn't and arrived back in the San Blas where we have been for over two years. It is now time to leave and start our journey to end up in the Mediterranean. I'm pretty sure we will make it this time. We leave in the morning for Portobello, which is a 12 hour sail. Our friend Christine will be flying into Panama where Denny will greet her at the airport. She will be sailing with us for almost 3 weeks. They will shop for groceries and we will leave in the morning. Our first stop is 470 miles away. It should take us about 4-5 days. It is Cayo Vivorillo in Honduras.
We will try and post blogs via SSB radio, but we are not sure if this will work for sure because of our lightening strike we haven't had the cord to test it to see if it still works. Christine is bringing us the cord and we shall see. If it doesn't work, we will try and find a beach bar with wi-fi to post a blog.
Denny has been checking out the weather and he says so far the winds are favorable. Which means "all is good"!
Life is good on Kokomo!
