Denny's Recap

Denny
Wow, we made it! As you can tell the first few days were a little rough on the crew. I'm no exception. Two decided to call it a day and leave the boat when we got to Newport, Oregon. To those I thank you for your commitment and support as we would not have left Tacoma without your help. In an odd way, those of us that were sick have bonded just like sailing in the ocean. Being sick over the rail or in the sink with a friend can't be explained unless you've been there. I'm sure Steve could come up with a tee shirt for that.
To the four of us that remain there are no words for the fun that followed. Sunrise, sunsets, moon rise and moon sets. Tuna, dolphins, and whales will fill our lives with memories. Birds and that bat plus stories that filled the time. The stars in the sky and of coarse fish tacos. So many things that make an ocean delivery.
Once the boat was in San Diego we cleaned it the best we could. Mark and I were happy with our efforts but in the end we knew we were like kids that had had a party. Once Mom, (Becky) gets home some how she'll know the boys were there. Then the big moment. Becky arrived, gave me a hug and kiss then went down below and she said, "this boat smells like barf!" Oh well, we tried.
Two weeks in Tacoma and I'm back to the boat. Can't wait. Time to get this party started!
