Becky
Just received the CYCT (Corinthian Yacht Club of Tacoma) Mainsheet Newsletter. It sure is nicely done! I was the editor for a few years, now Rob Crone has taken over and is doing a fabulous job! You can read it at: www.cyct.com. Love the going away photos, we had so many friends and family come wish us well, it was very heart warming; "Leaving The Salish Sea" by Swabby Steve Kovach, you are something else Steve, he also had made up long-sleeve t-shirts for each of the delivery crew and myself with the logo (photo above), thanks so much!
LEAVING THE SALISH SEA
Pride of the Sound, dear Kokomo
Is leaving the Salish Sea
New sunrises, new sunsets, will shine on her spar
But no salt on her rails, will mar
With wind in her sails and bone in her teeth
She greets the oceans that come
She's bound for horizons, far from her home
New seas where her captains will roam
Soon they will view, that famed Southern Cross
Far from our snug Salish Sea
To those who claim venture, is surely a folly
Don't see it as Poseidon's Holiday
Friends, no sigh, no tear, just gather and cheer
To captains Becky and Denny so dear
When life gives us pause, to remember this day
Know they are safe, in the wind and the spray
