Day 10, 11, 12
05 November 2010 | Cabo San Lucas
Becky/Hot Hot Hot 90+ degrees
We finally got to Cabo! It was a very tough go getting in to Cabo. The wind picked up to 30+ knots so we decided to go into the marina and get a slip. I really couldn't believe it when I learned how much one night for a 42' cost - $123. That's US dollars. Ok, so for that you do get a nice hot, AC, free shower but we did have to raft up with no power.
The CYCT group got together and went to Skid Roe for dinner and drinks, we have a blast, and danced the night away!
Thank you for all you e-mail's and comments, we read them all and appreciate them. I will get to posting more photo's and video here in the next day or two.

On Christine and I last night's watch the stars were bright and only a sliver of moon rose at 4am, Once I see a shooting star I keep looking in the same direction and declination and I am rewarded with more shooting stars. When Christine was on watch with me she would quietly hum and sing along to songs on her I pod. It made me smile, she was just so happy listening to music sailing in the dark. The wind picked up the last 6 hours into Cabo San Lucas and I could see the motion of different boats, The motion I observed from some boats that I didn't care for and glad I wasn't onboard was a severe hobby horsing motion which was a rapid and pronounced forward bow down and stern up, I was glad to be on a comfortable boat like Kokomo which handled the seas with ease. The entire sail down no matter how much wind or the direction Kokomo never surprised me and responded like a good sailboat should. The boat is well prepared for this type of voyaging.
Coming into Cabo was a little culture shock, a little nosily and busy after being out at sea or in remote anchorages. I am having fun being a tourist in Squid Roe. We had a group photo and it was made into a label on a bottle of tequila, which is now on Kokomo and will be refilled only with El Jimador in the future. This has been a great trip and I was happy to share the start of Denny and Becky's adventure.

Its 8 pm, almost the middle of the night, I'm outside in the marina at Cabo and Becky hands me the computer and said write something. My eyes are blinded by the light of the screen. Now the crew wants to go get ice cream and are waiting for me to finish. Guess I have to go. Tomorrow I will try again.
