Small World

Becky & Denny/Partly Cloudy 78 degrees
We went for a dinghy ride to the next anchorage over to El Cardoncito. Very clear water, we could see fish 20 feet down! Then we went to shore to a fish camp where they were throwing their nets into the water from the beach and getting good size fish! See photos and video in a couple days as we are sending this blog via single sideband.
I made bread, a lemon pie and homemade spaghetti (thanks Becky Lathrop for the homemade jar of sauce), we had a nice bottle of Beringer wine with our dinner. I had to get out the Emergency Chocolate to go with the rest of our wine, the pie just didn't cut it! Although the bread I made wasn't very good, I followed the directions exactly as written on the wheat bread flour, but it was dense. I have some ideas on how to improve (ie: warmer water or more kneading or ??) I could use some suggestions from Chef Smith - hint hint.

It's a small world. I went to meet a boat from Tacoma at the fuel dock in San Diego, Don and Stella Paterson are friends with my Mon and her Husband Stan. Their crew Don Cox and Rosalie Thomas wanted to meet me as their daughter works with a friend of mine, Don Robbins. Don and Sarah both work at the Sea Tac airport. Since then we have talked a few times and I know we will meet up one day in the future. A small world is how friends become friends.
Tonight we were invited by a couple to enjoy a sunset drink on their boat, SV Dragon's Toy, while talking with Tom and Cary I shared a story about an old friend of ours Colin. Cary lit up as she had met Colin in La Paz a few years ago. She took Spanish lessons with him and sailed to several ports with him. She wants us to say hi to Brenda. So Brenda, you should know many good stories are being told about Colin right now. By the way we are in Caleta Partida right now.
We have only been out of the USA for 3 weeks. Give it time, we might meet someone you know.
