Our first Christmas away from family has come and gone. We bought no presents, used a poinsettia as a tree and hung one set of lights. It was simple. To simple. Christmas is the time of year where you spend countless hours trying to find that gift that will mean something to the one you gave it to. The receiver of the gift might or might not like what they got, but they understand that the gift was a token of love or friendship. Christmas is a time of year when you show people their special. And we missed that. To all our family, old friends and new, Merry Christmas and happy New Year. Next time will try harder to get it right.
We did spend Christmas with Jim and Connie and Marvin. We exchanged fly swatters, had a turkey dinner and played dice. Then Becky and I went back to our boat, watched a movie and fell asleep. It was quiet and nice.
I'm recovering nicely, but wish the next three weeks would pass. I'm ready to do something but my body needs to rest most of the day. BORRING!
After ten years of planning a trip around the world, we have given up our life on land to head to bluer pastures with the hopes of staying young as long as possible. Our mission is to have fun while moving about the earth. [...]When we finally return to dry land for good, we hope to have seen most of the worlds shore line and experienced things that can only be experienced at 5 knots Of course if we find a place we like and stay there for an extended time, that's ok too.
We have two boys and two grandson's and several friends and family of all ages. Our hope is that those we know will decide to spend some time with us. Life is enjoyed most when you share it with those your closest to.
