Yesterday was a big day for the people on Kokomo. Not only did we stay up until midnight, New York time, but Dec 31st was my actual retirement day. There's no turning back now. I'm unemployed, and it feels good. Jim and Connie felt bad that there was no big retirement party for me at work. How could there be, I left two and a half months ago. I wonder if anyone noticed. Well, the Merritt's did and they decided to have a dinner party with a delicious cake along with a special retirement gift. They made me a Rolex watch. I guess making it was easier then buying it here in Mexico. What a treat! After a wonderful meal and dessert, we played a few games then called it a night. A few hours later, lots of noise was made. I guess everyone didn't use the same clock as we did. Once again while we had lots of fun when we went to bed we thought of old friends and the traditions we have been part of for the past ten or so years. New adventures are good but they don't come without a price. Giving up on the past is that price. Check out my new watch on the video and photo. It's a keeper!
Happy New Year to all our family & friends - Denny and Becky
After ten years of planning a trip around the world, we have given up our life on land to head to bluer pastures with the hopes of staying young as long as possible. Our mission is to have fun while moving about the earth. [...]When we finally return to dry land for good, we hope to have seen most of the worlds shore line and experienced things that can only be experienced at 5 knots Of course if we find a place we like and stay there for an extended time, that's ok too.
We have two boys and two grandson's and several friends and family of all ages. Our hope is that those we know will decide to spend some time with us. Life is enjoyed most when you share it with those your closest to.
