Relax
10 January 2011 | Bahia Salinas
Becky/Clear 70 degrees
I forgot how much I like being at anchor, 26 days in Santa Rosalia had taken it toll. We are now safely anchored in Bahia Salinas. This is a horseshoe bay about ½ mile wide and 2 miles deep. The depth is less than 30 ft starting about ¾ mile from the end. We are in 12 feet of water. The sounds, smells and sky are all much nicer when were on the hook. This together with the news that the Seahawks won a playoff game makes for a great day. Becky thinks I'm getting better as I'm antsy. This translates to I'm getting on her nerves. When we are at anchor like this we tend to do boat projects, so the days go quickly and we're never bored. We walk on the beach in the afternoon as it's to cold to swim. The water is 64 degrees and the air a little over 70. I won't complain because I know most of you are in much colder weather than this. Time for my afternoon walk.
