Here is a short video of Denny trying to get to the starter.
Well, he did manage to get the starter out with the help of Paul. They looked it over and decided it should be rebuilt. Paul got the name of a mechanic. Denny and I hailed a cab driver and told him where to go. He suggested his friend who was a mechanic just down the street. We went there and the guy looked it over and told Denny what was wrong. He said for $85 he would have it rebuilt and good as new, to come back in a couple hours. So the cab driver took us to Alderbrook Mall. Wow, I've never seen a mall this huge! We picked out a TV, got a cell phone and had lunch, then met the cab driver. He took us back to his friend and sure enough, the starter did look like new. Denny put it back in the boat and started her up. Oh, the sound of the engine purring like a cat, love that sound!
Internet is slow here, but I will be posting videos & photos each day. The above photo is Denny checking into Panama.
All is very good on Kokomo!

PS - thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful day!
After ten years of planning a trip around the world, we have given up our life on land to head to bluer pastures with the hopes of staying young as long as possible. Our mission is to have fun while moving about the earth. [...]When we finally return to dry land for good, we hope to have seen most of the worlds shore line and experienced things that can only be experienced at 5 knots Of course if we find a place we like and stay there for an extended time, that's ok too.
We have two boys and two grandson's and several friends and family of all ages. Our hope is that those we know will decide to spend some time with us. Life is enjoyed most when you share it with those your closest to.
