Spear Gun

Today was a hard day for me. I bought a spear gun and today I used it. First shot was a miss. The fish was to far away. The second shot nicked the fish. It struggled for awhile then got loose to swim away, I know it died. The third shot killed a fish I should not have shot. The gun is great, but watching the fish die is different that catching with a hook and hitting them on the head. I know I will get better at finding what I want to shoot. But day one of spear fishing was tough.
While walking the beach of Isla Mogo Mogo, we came across a torch used in the survivor show. Why it was left for us to find I don't know, but it was cool. The first thing Jim did was to pretend to put out my flame. He was banning me from the island. I don't think I would go so easy. After all, we are on day 6 and I'm still here.
It's near sunset watching the sky turn from blue to gray and pink, what a stunning show of color! As we sit hear and watch the sunset, you can here small fish feeding on the bugs at the surface, birds sing at the shore and waves slapping along the shoreline. This is paradise and we are lucky to be part of it. The next sound is new, Becky hopes it s a monkey, but I'm sure it's a bird. Monkey or bird, these are the things we talk about. It's a tough life on Kokomo.
