We are back on the hook. After spending the last 15 days on a flat lake ,river or in a marina the gentle rocking of the boat that has put me to sleep the past year, kept me awake, I guess you need some time to a just to a moving bed. It does feel good to be out at sea. There are several types of cruisers. Some travel the world in a year some stay in the same places for months at a time and some like us move slowly but always move. When we get to a marina we meet the people that stay for long times and they try to talk us into going slower. Slower sounds nice, but what happens is you stop. Each time we finally get out of a marina we wonder why we stayed so long. This time it was for parts and new friends, both good reasons, but it feels great to be on the move again. Maybe tonight will be rocked to sleep!
Naranjo is an Island where we had to tuck in behind a reef. It was a little nerve racking to pass breaking waves on the ocean we slipped behind the island. This is the way it will be for the next 6 months so it was a good test. Today we head to Portobello for a few days then we move to The San Blas Islands for 3 or 4 weeks before we make the big leap out of Panama and head north to the East coast of Central America.
