Gasoline

We went from the West Lemmons to Wichuhuala to get gasoline. We anchored in 40 feet of water, when we settled the boat was sitting in 80 feet. We got our gas cans and headed to the town. Here they had a small store where I got 10 lbs. of flour and sugar to make bread. Denny found the guy to fill up our cans. He had a small boy, about 10 helping him. They poured the gas from 55 gallon drums and siphone it into 5 gallon paint buckets, then siphoned it into our 5 gallon gas cans. This was quite the process and the small boy helped with each step then when our cans were full he carried them to our dinghy. We had four cans and he looked tired when we were finished. The gas cost $5.50 per gallon. Denny gave the boy $1 as a tip and he was all smiles! We pulled up anchor and headed to the East Lemmons where we met up with Dragon's Toy. We first met them on the 2010 Bahaha. This was one of the boats that called for help with their water maker, and Denny was able to help them out. After anchoring, they asked us to come over for cocktails and appetizers. It was nice to catch up with them. They are thinking of staying here until April.
