After traveling for the month of March, I am ready to report the expenses for the past two months. February Expenses: The total for February was $1,016. We spent $537 dollars from the 1st to the 26th then we traveled to the states and we spent $479 in 3 days. The break down is: Travel: $249, food: $86, boat parts: $181, booze: $68, general shopping: $301, fuel: $131.
March Expenses: (travel will kill the budget) Total expenses for the month = $3,899 Boat parts: $945, fuel: $375, doctor/blood work: $273, dinning: $296, misc household and clothing: $972, transportation/hotels: $252, kite board: $220, Captains License renewal: $200, food: $366. The fuel was for cars we borrowed in the states.
Our 3 month total for Jan, Feb, Mar is $7,468.50, or $2,489.50 per month. This is up from last year's average of $1,740. Travel and boat parts were high in the 1st quarter. Ever the optimist, expenses should be down for the next few months.
We woke this morning to thunder and lightning with a rain squall. I guess the dry season has passed. Yesterday we swam for the first time in 6 weeks. I had forgotten how warm the water is. We are anchored in the Central Holandes. We had to work our way threw the reefs to avoid running aground. Sometimes the water was less than ten feet. When the water is as clear as it was, it is hard to tell the depth. When Becky was on the bow guiding us in she asked the depth, "22 feet" I said. It's great to be back in the warm clear waters of the San Blas Islands, Panama.
Life is good on Kokomo!
