Balvenie, you have to like a guy that names his boat after a single malt Whisky. Yesterday the boat Balvenie from New Zealand pulled into the bay. Becky and I had cocktails with Mark and Amanda. They are in the 8th year of their circumnavigation. They are a little scared as once they go threw the Panama canal the are only a few months from home. In their mind the canal is the beginning to the end of a great trip. They are thinking about heading north and spending a few years in the Caribbean Sea as they are not ready to call it quits just yet. I hope we are still trying to slow down our trip after 8 years. We are in year two and falling behind schedule if you can call what we have a schedule. In a few years we will be preparing to go threw the Canal again but for us it will be the beginning of a circumnavigation that will be completed when we return to Panama for the third time. Today I am plotting out what we might do in June. Were thinking of sailing to Bocus Del Torro, then turning around and heading for Columbia before returning to the San Blas. Tomorrow we might be thinking something different. It's fun to dream a little.
