We meet all kinds of cruisers from all over the world. It is very interesting to visit with them and find out where they have been. One of the places we found very interesting in listening to was Cuba. This is what we learned: the country is extremely clean. There is no trash anywhere. Not in the streets or curbside,not even in the water. One of the cruisers hired a driver and a friend for $20/day to show them some of the countryside for three days. The first place they went to was The harbor in Punta Gorda. That day they visited Fort Morro. This fort is huge. They ate at Paladares (which is a private restaurant in a Cuban home). Dinner that night was on the roof top and for a lobster dinner, which was hand speared was $10.  They stayed at a  Particulares (these are private homes which they rent out a room and they have to pay a percentage back to the government). The cost of these rooms are between $20-$30/room. That night they went to a bar with traditional music and danced the night away.
