Good Friends

We saw our good friends we met in Panama - Larry & Lena on HOBO. Their boat is in Florida and are site seeing in a car they bought and happen to be in Massachusetts. We walked the town of Gloucester and had a fabulous lunch. I think this was the best fish & chips I have ever had! Everyone raved about their lunch being delicious.
The name Gloucester has been synonymous with fisherman and their boats. When entering the harbor your eye catches on three windmills turning. Looking up you see green hills dotted with houses, lighthouses and the old town's towers. We took a walk along the boardwalk to the 8 foot tall Fisherman's Memorial statue which looks out to the sea. There were wreaths of flowers at the base of the statue in honor of the fishermen who never returned. Gloucester was where the blockbuster movie "The Perfect Storm" was based. We saw several fishing boats that resembled the "Andrea Gail".
It was very nice to spend some time with Larry & Lena. The last time we all ate together (Larry, Lena, Paul, Chris, Denny & Becky) was a couple of Christmas's ago on their boat. We always have a great time when we are with them!
Finally the weather is warmer! 90 is the high today :)
Life is good on Kokomo
