Handley's harbor is a deep water anchorage off of Woods Hole. It is very protected, and also on the fair side of the tides that rush through the Woods Hole passage. After grabbing a buoy, we went in the dinghy to explore, along with some new friends that were local and Paul & Chris. Our new friends led us down a way where we saw an 8 ft wide-4 ft high bridge with swift current running past the bridge. The next thing we saw was our new friends going under the bridge into the swift current, so we followed. It was actually pretty fun!
Paul & Chris going under the bridge that had a pretty good current against them
These birds were drying out their wings
One of the many bird's nests we saw. Here the bird is resting next to the nest.
Chris goes for a swim in the cold water. She said it was refreshing!
It was a beautiful sunny and warm day with no wind in the anchorage, so we decided to have a BBQ with Paul & Chris. Early in the evening, after we ate the fog rolled in. S/V Georgia is anchored right next to us and you can barley see the boat!
There are some beautiful homes here!
