Day Off

Yesterday was a very hot day for October. The turnout for the boat show was pretty good for a Friday. Denny worked next to a restaurant making sure the patrons who didn't buy a ticket didn't sneak in. He was told by the boat show staff not to be confrontational. He said an older couple started to walk past him and he asked if he could see their vendor badge because they weren't wearing a wrist band. They told him they didn't have one but they could go through, he talked with them for several minutes but they were insistent, in the end Denny told them that if they felt good about getting into the show without paying so ahead, and they did! One of the perks of standing next to the restaurant is getting to know many of the wait staff. Because of this he was offered beer (which he didn't take) and food (which he did take).
I was at the gate scanning e-tickets and putting on wrist bands. You would think this wouldn't be so bad on your body, but ooooh were my feet sore!
Today we have the day off. I'm catching up on laundry and grocery shopping while Denny is putting on the new bimini. We will be resting our feet a lot during the day. Our next day off isn't until next Saturday when the sailboat show will be going on and I'm sure Denny will want to go and look around.
