Miracle Mile
17 November 2013 | Fort Lauderdale
Becky/81 degrees
We arrived in Fort Lauderdale in the morning after crossing several bridges. We anchored in a small lake for the night. At 4 am, we left and it was a little unfortunate but we went past the "Miracle Mile" in the dark. But all these beautiful homes were all lite up. We passed this one mega yacht, Denny thought was 300-400 feet. Wow is all I could say!
This is what our guide book says: Fort Lauderdale's famous Miracle Mile sprawls out before you actually spanning 2 miles of spectacular homes with yachts docked at their doors. Many of these residences have been "remodeled" or expanded in size numerous times. Multimillion-dollar homes are often torn down here to make room for even more expensive homes.
We are now heading to the Florida Keys.
Life is good on Kokomo!
