02 July 2014 | Petit St. Vincent
We sailed to Petite Martinique from Tabago Cays. Petite Martinique is part of Grenada. We anchored and Denny went to shore for diesel and he was pleasantly surprised to find it under $5/gallon. We also did a little provisioning, more rum & beer, you know the essentials. Then we motored less than a mile to a beautiful 6' deep, all sand anchorage at Petit St. Vincent, which is part of St. Vincent. On this island is beautiful white sandy beach and aqua color water. Along the beach you can find crashing waves which are always fun to watch. This is a quiet exclusive resort where guests get pampered in stone cottages, I'm sure at top dollar. We took our cocktails to a deserted shore and sat in the resorts lounge chair, just for a few minutes, but wow did it feel good in 5" thick foam. Didn't want to be caught then told that will be $20. They rake the beach and spray for bugs and you sure could tell, not one bite going to shore. There is a dinghy dock and you can go to the bar and order a drink and they also have lunch and dinner guests. But this is the slow season and you only see a few people around.
We finished the last of shinning the stainless today. We are off to explore a small sandy beach island with one palm, we love spending time on this type of island, with cocktails in hand of course!
