Coffee in Bed

20 July 2015 | Bocas del Toro, Panama
Becky/83 degrees, cloudy with sun breaks
We made it from San Blas Islands to Bocas del Toro (250 miles)! Nothing broke, no big weather and everyone is healthy. Successful crossing!

We spent one day in Portobello, had a fabulous lunch at Captain Jack's, toured the forts and watched a parade of the "Black Christ" walk through town.

We left Portobello as soon as we got back to the boat. It took us about 27 hours to get to Escudo de Veraguas where we spent the night and got caught up on sleep. Then we left for Laguna de Bluefield. Here we met several locals that came to the boat. Last time we were here we had a river tour and sure enough Duncan came by to see if we wanted to see the waterfalls. Glenn & Meghan were thrilled to see the jungle, wildlife and take a swim in the refreshing river. We did a little hike up along the waterfall and jumped into the river.

Nice cannonball jump Glenn!

From there we left for Bocas del Toro. We walked the town and ended up in a bar where there was a soccer game going on and Panama won the game. It was very exciting as it went into overtime. Afterwards we went to another restaurant and had a delicious dinner.

This morning, after breakfast, we pulled in to Marina Carenero where Kokomo will stay for three months. Meghan & Glenn are off to find a place to stay in Bocas.

Life is good on Kokomo!
