Just Rude
27 January 2016 | Salardup, San Blas Islands
Becky/86 degrees, sunny, no wind, beautiful!
We are in this anchorage all alone and this boat comes and anchors right on top of us. We were both sitting outside and watched the wife on the bow tell the driver (husband) where to go. Denny throws up his arms and yells out to her, "you have the whole anchorage". She yells back "what's your problem". They had guests on board, so Denny waited until the guests swam to shore. He went over to talk with them. She said "you American's always want so much space". They were less than a boat length away. Denny told them the day before there were 10 boats anchored here and everyone was spaced out and not crowding anyone. They really couldn't see what the problem was, so he stopped trying to make them understand. At least he was nice about it and didn't throw a hissy fit!
Later in the day more boats came and we ended up with 8 total with plenty of space between everyone except us and the rude boater.
After 5 days in Salardup, we have moved on. It's been nice to stay put for awhile.
Life is good on Kokomo
