Life and times in Islamorada

... wanted to let you know we stayed put in Islamorada today. Gale warnings for the better part of the day, and it was definitely very windy. Winds gusting in excess of 30 kts. So we dealt with the glamorous side of cruising: went to the laundromat, found a place to get rid of the garbage, looked in vain for a place to refill a propane tank, and watched the movie Captain Ron. VERY exciting! We are pulling out at 0600 tomorrow and plan to be in Marathon by tomorrow 1800. We need to stop for fuel and water along the way.

Jenni and her boyfriend are driving down from Boynton Beach tomorrow to meet us there and spend the night. We plan to do some sailing Friday with them. They are flying back to VT Saturday. That's about it. Figured that anyone watching the weather down here would be wondering if we were out in it. We played it safe and relaxed - sort of ... ;-)
