I haven't moved very far, but I don't really need to. I've got 7 days to get to Baltimore to pick up Nikki, so I am taking my time to see some of what the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. And I have to tell you, it is beautiful. I have been doing some reading and there is way more to see than I will have time for, so I will see what I can and come back to see more in the fall on the return trip south.
Almost no wind today so motored here. It was only about 5 hours total so actually a pleasant ride. It has cooled off by about 15 degrees or so from yesterday, so much more comfortable.
I am going to spend the day tomorrow seeing the sights around Yorktown, and then move north to Deltaville Friday. For you history buffs, you might remember that Yorktown is where the British general Cornwallis surrendered to Washington (I think in 1781). There is supposed to be a lot of stuff around here on that and I intend to see as much as I can tomorrow.
So not much else to write about, but I did realize I forgot to attach the picture of Fred and Linda from Newburgh, NY who are travelling on their brand new trawler Young America. Really nice people and I hope to see them again somewhere along the way. Fred is 76 and damn proud of it. He is in great shape and will probably outlive me.
