No, not me! This update has absolutely nothing to do with sailing. Most of you know both of my daughters Jenni and Kristin. Well, our family just hit one of those BIG milestones with the announcement by Jenni and her fiancé Matt Appelman to be married. They are truly in love and so excited to make this commitment to each other. Jenni will always be one of my "little girls" and I will be the father who still thinks of her like that from time to time. But she is all grown up now and as hard as it is to believe, is ready to do this. Matt is a real nice guy and even called to "ask for my permission". I still find it hard to believe that I was/am in a position to be asked that. Anyway, it was a very gentlemanly thing to do. I woke up two nights ago and sat upright with the thought that I would be "giving my daughter away" and of course had to cry. Sheesh, I am not sure I will be able to get through this without a lot of that!
