Rocky and Spike finally made it back to Kristinly on Wednesday. Nikki put them on a plane in Burlington in the morning and they arrived at the Ft. Lauderdale airport on time. I could hear them long before I saw them. They were barking at everything they saw, which included airplanes, people, and who knows what else. They were a bit anxious the first night, and I suspect that between a nerve racking experience and the probable doggy-Adavan hangover, they easily slept all night for about 11 hours. Then when they woke up and Spike pissed all over the boat. He does that a little when he is nervous, but the flood gates opened and he couldn't stop himself. Funny now, but we have to figure this out. They did such a good job of learning to go outside to do their business that they don't want to use the pee pads that they learned to use before they went to VT for the last 5 months. We'll figure it out ...

I am leaving Ft. Lauderdale tomorrow and going to Miami and will anchor there to wait for a weather window to cross to the Bahamas. As of now, Thursday looks to be the day. When I do leave, you won't hear from me very often. But I will keep up the journal and will send cumulative updates from time to time when Internet access is available.

Hope you all have been keeping warm this frigid winter! Believe it or not, there have been cool nights even this far south in Florida!
