I have over done it with the pictures, I know, but the historical sites around here are just really impressive. Most are from Williamsburg, which is one leg of what is called the historic triangle; the other two being Yorktown and Jamestown. I saw Yorktown last year at this time last year and that was more about the decisive revolutionary war battle. Williamsburg's focus was on 18th century life and it was impressive, but unfortunately many of the exhibits (buildings) were closed on Friday, presumably due to budget cuts. But it was neat and I truly enjoyed it. Went to the Mariner's Museum Saturday and for any of you sailors out there, or anyone interested in this type of thing, this is a must-see stop. Smithsonian caliber and more than you can see in one day, this was incredibly impressive. One of the many highlights was the exhibit on the USS Monitor, the Union's first "ironsides" war ship. Unbelievable ...
Whisper departed Friday and C-Note pulled out Sunday. I had a car rented to see the sights and do some running around for provisions, propane, and a few boat parts. I am planning to go to the VA Air and Space Museum tomorrow, and then will probably leave for Deltaville, VA Wednesday or Thursday. I am having a problem starting the main engine after it sits overnight and is cold. Joe thinks it is the fuel injectors and the Deltaville boatyard has said they can work on it for me.
