Well our Santa will be a 'spiced one' this year on La Aventura here in Grenada, in the southeast corner of the Caribbean. It is the smallest (132 sq mile - 12 miles wide by 21 miles long ) independent country in the western hemisphere. The island is elliptically shaped and alive with a rainforested interior, and beaches line the coast. Grenada the country is made up of 3 islands, Grenada island, Carriacou and Petit Martinique . Grenada is known as the spice island and famous for nutmeg - so it will be nutmeg ice-cream for us on Christmas Day. The weather is very similar to Oz at this time of year - hot and humid.
We depart on Boxing Day for a 400 mile direct sail west to the Dutch island of Bonaire - and are looking to friends flying in for 2 weeks of scuba, sun and fun from 6th January.
