Standing in for Beauty at PSV
When our friend Jeff asked us to cover his daysail clients at Petit St Vincent, we were thrilled but also a little sad not to be able to accompany him to Antigua to crew with him in Classic Week. But the idea of forging a closer relationship with this amazing private resort, and looking after their clients that wished to visit the Tobago Cays or other local island attractions was very exciting. Being used to longer term charters with guests remaining onboard for a week or two with us, it took a little while to get used to putting guests ashore each night - but the experiences that we shared with PSV guests and the places that we showed them were awesome. It was also a treat to prepare the proper picnic lunch each trip, and so our guests were treated to lobster tails, fresh local fish, turkey & chicken, fillet of beef, gammon ham, a variety of salads, cheeses, fruits and an open bar. Without exception, the guests reported that their trip had augmented their stay at PSV resort, which was very pleasing to both us and the management ! The co-operation we received from the resort management & staff was amazing, and we truly feel a part of the PSV family now. Our thanks go to Otnel, Kenny & Cynthia, Oxford, Utan & the Bar staff, the Girls in the office, Nancy, Trevor & the Kitchen staff, John in the Stores, the guys who ran us about, Maurice who waved at us from the launch each time he went by, just about everyone really ! ... the list is endless, thank you all. Oh yes, and Jeff came back victorious with a 3rd place overall in his class, Beauty won the Concours d'Elegance and all was well. Two bells !
