After leaving Canouan, we headed south to Grenada to pick up our last guests of the season, Natalie & Steve, who were joining us for two weeks sailing between Grenada and the Grenadines. Their first two days in Grenada were hampered by (much needed) torrential rain, which put paid to a trip up to Gouyave for 'Fish Friday' - an event every Friday night where several streets in the town of Gouyave are closed off and stalls appear, offering locally caught cooked fish of every variety, and of course the local drinks ! Steve is a keen fisherman, and Natalie a keen (though inexperienced) sailor so they were both very excited to catch a large barracuda on the lively inter-island passage between Grenada and Carriacou, with Natalie on the helm trying to slow the boat down enough for Steve and the Captain to land the fish. With Steve's trophy barracuda safely on board, we weaved past Kick Em Jenny and The Sisters amidst some stunning scenery to the relative peace of Tyrell Bay on Carriacou, where our guests enjoyed a supper of barracuda with a lime, ginger & garlic sauce - thumbs up all round !
