Cid Harbour

Our second night at Cid Harbour was not so quiet. The gribs (computer forecast weather) had indicated rain around 10pm local time, and surprisingly they were absolutely right. More so than the Australian weather forecast which talked about showers. The rain actually came down in a torrential downpour and has continued through the night and so far all day - certainly as bad as the English Lake District. Thunder, lightning but luckily the winds have stayed light. We can just about see the other boats in the bay. Thoughts of climbing to the top of the island about a thousand feet have been postponed. We had though if it was raining that we would head to the mainland town of Airlie beach and stock up on provisions. We're low on essentials, olive oil, red wine and beer, and oh yes green vegetables. However the prospect of total drenching will keep us here today and maybe off to Airlie tomorrow.
