Jim is currently retired from Rhode Island College where he was a professor of Adult Vocational Education and Management. Dede is currently back into nursing after many years in upper level health care administration. [...] She is honing her nursing skills as a pier-diem nurse so in our retirement she can grab part time work in the USVI and Bahamas. (She is sharp as a tack and grabbing a gig now and then for good $$$) Jim is a jack of all trades –a one time -College Professor -teacher educator in Vocational Education, and being a former USCG Chief mechanic, Master of Steam, Motor or Sail Auxiliary Vessels—if it “ ain’t” broke –he’ll break it and fix it! In our early years of retirement ( the past four) we sailed Lady Lady for three years making our way to the east coast of Florida. Along the way had many great experiences which you will see posted in the blog. Last Spring we sold Lady Lady down in St. Peat's FL the next day began a new adventure with a Grand Banks 42 Trawler. Our shake-down cruise was 2000 miles from Fl East Coast to West Bay of Rhode Island via the Florida Keys and the ICW.
