It Has Been A lot of Work

WE sand blasted the bottom to find any blistering. We found a LOT of small 1/4" to 1/2" pox. Filled each and every one with System Three Quick Fair.
Did it all winter--it's a chemical reaction --in the winter it was very slow to harden --but it's a chemical reaction and you can not stop it any more than you can stop a rising tide! So when seeing sort of came in April we sanded everything smooth and filled any we missed out of the 10,000 we found! We then began the barrier coat process with Interlux 2000e to get a 10 mill film. On top of that two coats of hard bottom paint 2.5 gal per coat. WE finally got one coat of Hydro Coat Ablative on and we are waiting to launch time put the final two coats of that on. This is like painting a Barn oh its head!
Presently involved with replacing all the running gear-Props, Shafts, Struts & Cutlass bearings and Engine flange! Hung up for a bit trying to find original Round Head Strut Bolts-5/8 x 11 X 5" in Silicon Bronze. If we can solve that we launch on Wednesday May 6th I'll try to keep you posted.
