Pump Ready to install

19 May 2015
This has been a major project. First off it was difficult to get the fan (air vain impeller) off the hub. It is aluminum and the hub is Stainless Steel and after almost 30 years they were well seized. Puller and a torch finally worked. Taking it apart was relatively easy once I bought a 20 ton press!!
Putting it together went well also. There was some confusion with the new seal -it did NOT use all the same parts that were used with the first seal. The original seal used a face washer made of ceramic material that rubbed against a pre loaded metal disk. The new seal is designed to put that disk right into the impeller. At least thats the way it looked to me --if I'm wrong you will see the pump being posted again and the two little B#$@$%%^ being put in!
