A new Alternator

29 May 2015 | Still in EG
Jim -
For the past two days preparation has been beefing up the charging system. The original Grand Banks system was not well designed for overnight anchoring with a large electrical load. I added a bunch of batteries and now I just added the Alternator big enough to charge all the batteries. Maybe the refrigerator will actually run all night and still let us start the engines the next day !!

Boat is almost ready to go--well do a shake down cruise Saturday to the air show. Sunday will be loading bikes and dingy food shopping and final inspection and stowing stuff. Expect to be ready to go by Tuesday morning.
Keep fingers crossed.
