Went up the mast today, tough getting this old body up and down the stick. I changed the anchor lite, changed it to an led. had to run a new wire through the mast, also had to replace the elect. tru-hull. It's working and looking good. I only had to make two trips to West Marine, my store of last resort. The wind was blowing pretty hard which made for a wild ride hanging on to the mast. I am having my jib patched and a new tiller cover made, should be ready tomorrow. Applyed my 7th coat of varnish to the tiller, tomorrow will be the last coat. I am using West Marines brand varnish and am pleased with the results.

After buying my 1987 Percision 23 on March 27th, my first job was getting the the 5hp honda outboard running so I could move it from the sales dock to my slip. My good friend Malcolm and I took off the carb and cleaned it on a towel on the dock. The motor fired right up and I moved it to my dock. Over the course of the following week I cleaned the boat inside and out. I replaced the old broken running lites with new ones and replaced the bulbs with LED's I also replaced the cabin lites with LED's from superbrightleds.com not cheap but well worth it. I had to replace the wiring to the stern running lite and will also have to replace the wiring to the anchor lite. I am having my jib patched and have taken off the tiller off to varnish. looking forward to a night on the hook.
