Back in Germany for Christmas.

First thing today we climbed up Lykavittos Hill to enjoy the view over the city of Athens, but the weather was cloudy. After a capuccino at the restaurant we hiked down on the other side to spend the afternoon in the Archaeological Museum.

The Akropolis Museum opened in 2009.

The Temple of the Olympian Zeus is the largest in Greece and it took over 700 years to complete it under emperor Hadrian in 131 AD. From the 104 Corinthian columns only 15 remain.
