Into the Last Month

March's arrival signifies our last month of cruising in San Blas. We are scheduled to occupy a slip at Shelter Bay Marina, outside Colon, on the 31st. Meanwhile, we continue to move from one anchorage to the next, each of which has a particular charm of its own. While in the East Holandes Cays, our previous anchorage, Mary arranged haircuts for us courtesy of one of the cruisers. After another visit to Narguana for supplies and my internet fix we'll return there for the weekly beach potluck and social evening. With internet access I will upload some of the photos taken during the past few weeks.
We've been here at Esnasdup, one of our favorites, for the past week. The snorkeling has been better than most. Mary was surprised to see a 4-5 foot nurse shark swim past her and take up refuge under a coral head. I photographed it for the record. Spotted eagle rays are also in abundance. However, there are not as many fish species here as we had seen in Bonaire and the water clarity has been diminished by high winds and seas of the past month or more. Still, it beats winter storms and the continuing economic fiasco.
