We are anchored off one of the traditional Kuna villages. It was a short, four hour trip (no wind, moderate swells and we motored the distance) to this spot. We arrived in early afternoon and enjoyed watching the small children in dugout canoes during much of the remaining daylight hours. A few had small things to sell, but most were just interested in greeting new arrivals. There are only two other cruising sailboats in the anchorage so we all got more attention than we really wanted. Mary and I will plan to stay here another day or so. We'll go into the village tomorrow and probably have lunch there. We've already arranged for a couple of lobsters to be delivered to the boat tomorrow afternoon. A couple of Kunas stopped by this afternoon with only one lobster and we decided that one wasn't worth the effort to cook it...but we'll have lobster for supper tomorrow. More later. By the way, since we are not in internet range, these reports must be sent over our SSB radio...a slow data delivery rate that allows no photo attachments. We'll put some into our blog the first chance we get.
